থ্রি-ফেজ বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ ব্যবস্থাঃ

থ্রি-ফেজ ব্যবস্থায় তিনটি পরিবাহীর (ফেজ) মধ্য দিয়ে একই কম্পাঙ্কের এমন তিনটি পরিবর্তী বিদ্যুৎ প্রবাহ প্রবাহিত করা হয় যাদের যে কোন এক মূহুর্তের তড়িৎ প্রবাহের মান এক সমান থাকে না। একটি পরিবাহীর মধ্য দিয়ে প্রবাহিত তড়িৎপ্রবাহকে মানদন্ড হিসেবে বিবেচনা করে বাকী দুটি তড়িৎ প্রবাহকে একটি পূর্ন তড়িৎ প্রবাহ চক্রের (cycle) যথাক্রমে এক-তৃতীয়াংশ ও দুই তৃতীয়াংশ পিছিয়ে(delay) দেয়া হয়। তিনটি ফেজের মধ্যে এই চক্র পার্থক্যের কারনে একটি পূর্ণ তড়িৎ চক্রে সঞ্চারিত তড়িৎ শক্তি সবসময় সমান থাকে এবং এই চক্র পার্থক্যই বৈদ্যুতিক মোটরের মধ্যে পরিবর্তী চৌম্বক ক্ষেত্র তৈরী করে।


থ্রী-ফেজ ব্যবস্থার কিছু বিশেষ সুবিধা আছে যার ফলে এটি সবচেয়ে জনপ্রিয়ঃ

তিন ফেজের বিদ্যুৎ প্রবাহ একে অন্যকে বিয়োগ করে দেয় এবং লিনিয়ার ব্যালেন্সড লোডের ক্ষেত্র যোগফল শূন্য হয়ে যায়। ফলে নিউট্রাল পরিবাহী ব্যবহার না করলেও চলে অথবা এর আকার অনেক কমিয়ে ফেলা যায়। লিনিয়ার ব্যালেন্সড লোডে শক্তি সরবরাহ সবসময় সমান থাকে,ফলে বৈদ্যুতিক জেনারেটর বা বৈদ্যুতিক মোটরকে নির্বিঘ্নে চলতে এবং কম্পন (vibration) কমাতে সাহায্য করে। থ্রি-ফেজ ব্যবস্থা নির্দিষ্ট দিকে ঘূর্নায়মান চৌম্বক ক্ষেত্র উৎপাদন করতে পারে, ফলে বৈদ্যুতিক মোটর নকশা ও তৈরী করা খুব সহজ হয়ে যায়। এক ফেজ ট্রান্সমিশনের তুলনায় পলিফেজ ট্রান্সমিশনের পাওয়ার লস কম হওয়ায় দক্ষতা বেশি। তিন ফেজ সিস্টেমে পরিবাহী পদার্থ তথা তামার পরিমাণ কম লাগে। তিন ফেজ মেশিনের আকার-আকৃতি অনেক ছোট হয়। তিন ফেজ পদ্ধতির রেগুলেশন ভালো। তিন ফেজ ইন্ডাকশন মোটর স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে চালু হয়। থ্রি-ফেজ মেশিনে কম রিপল সৃষ্টি হয়। থ্রি-ফেজ পদ্ধতিতে সিনক্রোনাইজেশন অনেক সহজ। থ্রি-ফেজ মেশিন আকারে ছোট বিধায় এর দাম ও রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ খরচ উভয়ই কম।
